There is a new page here that will showcase different dishes that I like to make. The first post is right here >>Click Me! <<
Before you click that link, I should add that this is like an extension of the blog but with a main focus being dishes that i cook. It will be organized slightly differently than what you may find here which not only gives me a chance to change in formatting but be slightly more creative with my future blog posts in the future. While these food posts should not interfere with my weekly(sort of, but who is really keeping track) posts on this page, don't expect there to be a weekly food post. I will update the food blog portion when i feel it should be or i have a cool idea to document (more like remember to document xD). So far there is only the one post and each post may have its own seperate page for simplicity and to keep organized. I don't mind this blog page (the main one) being formatted like this but time will tell when and how it'll receive an upgrade for modernity and reading sake. I'm thinking an index page for all blog posts will be what the future holds yet for now, with so little posts it isn't nessecary. Though ofc having a clear index sooner rather than later may be more helpful to me...I'm rambling...OK GO CLICK THE LINK xDD
pulled from "Chester's tearoom gacha". I love this cookie set so much and am satisfied with any item on the list, that being said, this was a solid first pull!
Subscribing to the "Happy Helper Plan" let's you have one of your campers be a Camp Caretaker, so i chose ~Punchy!
He does his best everyday, so i thought i'd treat him to some hot cocoa one night. He told me he had some trouble getting apples down from a tree earlier in the day. To be a professional tree shaker takes many many years of Hardcore training and grit, that only very few can endure let alone accomplish.
While the sun was setting on our relaxed one on one session and the fire was eagerly feasting upon a newly placed log, the crackle and pop of the wood giving into the flames hunger, i had just remembered, the perfect allegory! One that Master Nook had taught to me when i was but a young grasshopper of Nook Dojo.
I took a sip of my still piping hot, hot cocoa. The withering marshmallow emulsion adding a creamy swirl atop the liquid choco. My eyes closed and a cheerful hum grew from my belly as the warmness of the festive drink heated everything it touched. When the feeling had passed and settled, I then spoke "Punchy, it is quite simple". Punchy curiously looked up from his mug to catch my eyes, only to be met with the most intense glare. It must've startled him at first since he recoiled a bit in his seat.
Before he could open his mouth, I belted out. "To shake the tree, first, one MUST BECOME THE TREE! Punchy, shocked by my sudden yelling, coupled with confusion by what that even meant, spilled a bit of hot cocoa on his lap, let out a yelp of pain, then proceeded to stand straight up from the reaction of spilling hot liquid onto himself. "YES PUNCHY, YES!" I exclaim. " Exactly like that! As straight as the trunk! I love your Enthusiasm !"
Punchy now wide eyed, focused back onto me, standing beside him, arms pointing straight out from my side. "Now, use your arms as if they were branches!" I say, fully enamored in the process of teaching my new disciple the way of Nook Fu, arms bending and moving simulating a trees branch swaying in the wind. Punchy, no longer worried about the spilled hot cocoa begins to chuckle at the display of me as a tree and begins to put his arms out to mimic my form.
I say "Don't laugh. It may look silly now, yet soon enough, you'll be building a solid repertoire." Punchy's laughter amplifies as i continue to say "Hey! I'm gonna get Poncho over here to work you to the bone if you don't take this seriously!"
The horizons golden hue setting on another eventful day at the camp, the commotion coming from the firepit starts to gain the attention of the other campers as they begin to gather around the toasty fire. It seems that a rather energetic night is ahead of us~
Also Carrie is at my camp now! Finally have a kangaroo camper! :3
Lately, i've been spending most if not all of my free time building a map for my gmod rp server. I'm not gonna show anything just yet but if you're curious i made a couple videos Here
this video showcases a very old version already but i made it, uploaded it, and it's there to for anyone to get a glimpse of an earlier version of the map. The video is playing on the side right now, and i'll just say that there has been major developments since just last week. Over the last two weeks i've solidified the main layout, drew up blueprints for the finer designs in the restaurants, learned more about the possibilities and limitations of hammer, and figuring out how to write lua for scripts. i got alot of cool ideas for the actual RPing aspect of the server. The basic jist is that you can either work in the restaurant or be a customer. If you decide to work then there are the two different roles of being a host/ server or chef. The host obviously takes your order and such while the chef cooks the food. Theres a gameplay mechanic involved for "cooking" the food where you have to have the ingredients for the order to be able to make it and there will be a time when you gotta go and get the ingredients from either the market zone or the garden zone.
Any worker of the restaurant can gather ingredients/ vegetables so it may be helpful to have someone else on the working side assist with that task if there are alot of orders, just a heads up :p. I'm gonna figure out how to script NPC Ai as well which will most likely be the last thing after having the main game loop running. The progress into working on the mechanics will be after finishing the finer map details, texturing, and adding some sound ambience. Only then will i be able to focus on the actual gmod stuff. Once i get the map finished i'll release another video which i'll link to in a future blog post (or you could subscribe to the channel and await the update). I'm giving myself a soft date of about a week or week n a half from now to get the map finished with expectations that my scheduling of things goes smoothly.
Besides that i've been playing A LOT of Tekken 8 :D I am really enjoying the new title in the series, it's so FAST and looks beautiful! My favorite character is Xiao Yu and has been since Tekken 3, so ofc it's only natural for me to main her in this one and she is so fun to play. My secondaries are Law, Jun, Victor, and Nina. I wanna learn Yoshimitsu and another fighter like Steve but right now i'm focused on learning Law's mainline combos so i have a solid secondary in my pocket. I'm currently using my keyboard to play but i am gonna get a fighting pad soon, looking into the Hori Octa Commander Pad. I really like the controller design w/ the 6 face buttons. The joystick has an octagonal gate and the Dpad above it is designed for 8-directional movement. As in it's not cut like the previous version where its a strict 4-directional shape.
Happy monday! to all the folks and fans (Don't stand up all at once now). I'm currently working on a fun project that I believe will bring some fresh air into my work. I've been having an excrutiatingly difficult period of creative blockage.
At first i thought it was just a simple art block, initially thought that given a couple days, some fresh tea, maybe a bike ride or two to really embrace my adventurous spirit, that i would be over it and can get back into the groove of things. Yet, here i am frustrated and unable to concentrate on anything solid. Even if i get a grasp of an idea and attempt to storyboard it, I can't seem to put pencil to paper as i've done before.
I'm not one who can just sit down, and write on command. Though during my time in Uni, i was able to do just that. Ofcourse, there were more factors including deadlines and grades. This then brings me to wonder that when there is no external pressure like a due date or some consequence, if my scheduling is only dictated by how i see fit. Then, would i be able to efficiently make something, waste less time in the making, and have something to show for my effort with the time i've used.
I don't believe that my lifespan is either short or long but i am alive, and i want there to be something worthwhile that i can look back upon and be proud of accomplishing. This may have gone off into a tangent while typing but to loop back around, I just want my time spent rough drafting or storyboarding to matter for something. I've felt like theres been alot of time wasted just to do simple things inwhich other people or even studios that have the discipline and energy to get done faster.
In reality, i'm simply unknown, most of the work i've done over the years has only been seen by a handful (if only a few fingers). I'm left thinking what am i doing it for, who am i doing it for. If for only me, then I can play within the chambers of the imagination whenever I please. Twisting dreamlike imagery along the canvas of my mental landscape, and with silent affirmation further recluse the self from a goal few dare to aspire too willingly. To connect to one another through the artform,
to allow a discourse among creatively talented and like minded individuals whom vibrate in an aesthetic harmony. The goal isn't to seek acknowledgement nessecarily, just simply put pencil to paper, allow the flow of creativity, and bring forth into the world... a story.
This is the official page for Mew Mangaka! Can we start the celebration yet? Seriously, there has been alot of work put into making this happen
